This was taken earlier today. Used small s/h to open up the blacks and selectively sharpened the face. The settings were -

40D, Canon 98-280mm @ 280mm
1/1600 sec, f/5.6 Mode: Av Metering: Evaluative Exp comp: +1.33 ISO: 400

Your feedback would be appreciated...

Hi Indranil. I like the wing position and eye contact. I think you had some room to push your exposure even further to the right to help bring out more detail in the lower wing. I would desaturate your reds just a little. And I would add a bit of canvas up top while removing some from the bottom of the frame.

Thanks Doug, I did realize the need to open up exposure further to the right. There is not much I can recover now. Here is updated version with desaturated red and different crop. Thanks for the feedback.

I like the repost better Indranil. Tough shot with what I assume is a 70/200mm lense and 1,4tc. Sharp and good ha and eye contact. Dave
