Taken last week at High Island Texas.
Canon 20D
Canon 300/2.8 w/2x
Canon Speedlite 580EX
AV, f-8, 250, ISO 400

I like the pose and BG. However there are several problems with this image:
1) The perch is too large for the bird.
2)The cut off branch on the right.
3)There is noise in the BG below the perch.
4) There seems to be evidence of cloning near the cut off branch.
With a better perch, this image could be very nice. Keep then coming!

If you apply what Aidan touched on in future, you will find the results much more appealing. Of course, if this is an image that you just happened to have captured and not set up with perches, then for that the result is very good. I do like the inquisitive look and the bird is sharp with nice details.
