With its shear abundance, and sentimental favorite "sign of spring" status symbol (at least up here) it's funny how we don't see too many posts of these guys in the forums. Here's one that I had the chance to photograph a couple weeks ago. I just lay on the ground and hoped one of them would approach and pose nicely during there foraging rounds. What I like best about this one is the natural surroundings it was in - rather than on a well manicured lawn or park grass.
