Well, it is cold and going to snow tonight in Michigan, so thought I would revisit some images from Artie's IPT in Feb.
This nice fellow was looking for flying fish.

I like the random white feathers in the primaries, gives him a bit different look. The histogram for those is around 244. Cropped to about 70% of original. Post in NX2, curves, black point set, sharpening. D300 70-200 f/2.8 at 160mm f/7.1 1/2500 ISO 1000

Comments of course appreciated.

Cheers

Randy

Really like the outstretched wings and the color of the bird.

The light, action and outstretched wings are amazing! I think I would like to see a little more canvas, especially above.

Great pose (love the dangling feet with the dripping water). Comp looks good to my eye. Seems like more space might've brought in some possibly unwanted reflections in the water. Nice image.

Nice, I'd get rid of the stripe of orange reflections on the right. Also wish for a slightly better head angle, but great shot, thanks for posting.

Very well timed to capture the outspread wings Randy. This is sharp, and you have controlled the exposure perfectly. A little more space on the right would have been ideal, but still a great image.

I am thinking it is a little tight for my taste, but on left and right, not above or below. I love that wingspread here! Congrats! :)

Love the wing spread on this! Good exposure, but would like a tiny bit more space in front of the bird. Watch out for the halo's around the head.

Very good pose, action and sharpness Randy. The white feathers in the wings looks a bit bright and I think that some curves job to reduce brightness would produce a good result. :-)
