Canopy Lodge - Panama
On the grounds of the beautiful Canopy Lodge in Panama, many species of birds can be lured into photographic range by putting out one of their favorite foods....bananas! Setting up perches of various sizes gives both small and large birds comfortable landing spots, and carefully placing them so that the backgrounds are distant gives the photographs a clean uncluttered look. The banana was placed on a stick below this perch.
One of my favorite visitors to the feeder set up was the large Oropendula. This was taken on a dark, overcast day last month.
