I just came across this, and was wondering if anyone has been to it. I cant go this year, but maybe next year if its any good. Has anyone been to this, is it something worth checking out next year if they have it again? Here is the link if anyone wants to check it out.

I have been the previous two years and enjoyed myself looking at the exhibitors booths. For some reason it's been held at a different location each time which I can't understand. This years and lasts have been held in somewhat remote locations with lack of close lodging for out of towners. Lots of field trips and class room instruction. The workshops seem geared towards the beginner and intermediate photographer.

NatureScapes.net usually has a booth set up with some good deals on accessories and Hunts camera from New England gives festival discounts on cameras and Lenses.

Best part is the Saturday afternoon social with the free food, beer and wine :)

Worst part is I can never seem to find any birds of interest in the general area.

I went last year and had a wonderful time. If you can't find any birds of interest at the Alligator Farm I don't know where you could go. If you have a car rental the places where the classes are held is not that "out of your way". I bought my Mk III at Hunt's during the show and got a fantastic deal ... no tax-no shipping and a show discount.
