Nikon D300 (http://www.pbase.com/cameras/nikon/d300) ,Nikkor 200-400mm f/4G ED-IF AF-S VR (http://www.pbase.com/cameras/nikon/200-400_4g_afs_vr)
1/13s f/8.0 at 200.0mm iso250
tripod, live view, slight crop.. 90% of ff, levels, slight sharpening.
My first good opportunity to try the Live View on the D300... the only good angle on this bird was about 12 inches above my head. So I hike back to the truck for the tripod, and grab the tripod, set it up to maximum height, and turn on the live view. I set up the composition, focus, exposure, did a few test shots, adjusted per the histogram, and turn the mode to self timer.
10 second delay, a few different angles, and some nice light in the shade, and overcast skies and I came home with quite a few keepers., I kinda wish I had my 10 pin remote with me, but the timer seemed to do the job well enough. A few more frames, and a hand held (lower pov) images are in here...

kind regards, and thanks for looking.
