Here is the other type of Yellow Rump Warbler. Commonly refered to as a Myrtle Warbler, these guys occaisionally get mixed in with the Audubon Yellow Rumps here at the local marsh.

Canon 50D, 500 f/4 +1.4X
ISO 250, 1/250, F/8, Taken in natural light at around 6:30 pm

Nice pose and focus looks good. Some significantly clipped highlights on perch and breast and blocked up blacks. Looks as though it may be a significant crop with some loss of detail and noise.

Nice shot Steve. This is a good perch for this bird, as it's can be difficult to catch them out of their normally busy habitat. Agree with Tony's comments - some detail appears to have been lost, but a fairly good level still remains.

Hi guys,
Thanks for your comments. Guess thats what I get for trying to photograph this guy in failing evening light. No flash as my Better Beamer lens got destroyed and a replacement won't be here for a while. Next time I will choose a better lighting situation and use flash for fill.
