Hi Gus Beautiful image Love the pose with the head turn Got a great looking bird with a good bg Could only wish for better light direction Light is from the right making the belly a little darker You should be able to lighten some in PS !!!! Excellent !!!!

Nice details, perch and eye contact. I agree regarding the light, maybe a stronger flash would have helped and if it is not full frame, it might work as vertical crop, too.

Now that's the kind of House Finch that I had in my yard when I lived out in the desert. The ones in Tucson are huge and FAT!!!

Excellent capture Gus! Not even one nit.

Hi. Gentlemen, thank you for all your upbeat comments. I used Robert O'Tool's real easy tutorial, first using quick mask, then lightening belly with levels. Robert's wonderful tutorials in Digital Basics Download), and APTATS-1 CD are made easy to use for a WABI (Without A Brain Installed) like me. All your gentle critiques are helping me improve. Is this more like you suggested? Gus:)

I love it Gus! The pose and lighting are very nice, and that unique cactus perch is really great. You don't see that very often in an image! You did particularly well on your repost.
