I like it Lance. Great use of shallow DOF with super colours!

This is great considering I believe you are experimenting with this OOF foreground stuff leading into your image. I quite like this to be honest. If anything I would crop a little tighter on top and from the right. Good job! :)

I think this is very effective, are you williing to tell us how you did it and what was in front!

Lovely colors and detail. I would prefer it moved slightly to the right in the frame.

Beautiful Lance, The layering of soft colors along with your nice details and HA make this great!

Excellent DOF, and love the layers of pastel colours. Very effective, and certainly different. I like this. Well done.

Well it's definitely to my tastes. Any time I can frame a subject with super oof objects in front and behind, I do it. I also do agree with a previous post saying that it could work a bit better with the bird to the right a bit more.

To the right in the frame and maybe a little more dof on the end of his bill. Other then that this is such a splendid image with the gorgeous colors and ideal composition of your subject within the oof objects. Sort of makes me think this what "bird heaven" might look like.

Agree a little more to the right - OOF foreground objects are nesting material and the ground - bird was actually over the side of the cliff - so the oof foreground is actually the ground - I was shooting at a downward angle to include the ground and what could be seen of the bird poking his head up from below.

Love it, great comp although I would've de-center the bird. Love the colors, pose, light, detail and FG. congratulaitons!

Lance,

Thanks for the explanation of the position of the bird, now you have explained, it seems obvious. I have no problems with the centered bird.

Slipped with the cropping on this one - should have been more to the right and out of the centre - better half was explaining how I should be out doing some work in the yard when I was editing this one - LOL :)
