I can't get enough of these Steve and really nice to see more of them showing up in the forums lately. Your lighting is perfect to capture the detail in the black and I like the pose, sharpness, and BG. You may want to play with the perch and remove the branch LR and the OOF branch behind the bird.

Lovely BG and nice detail. I'm not fond of the mid-movement pose you captured, and probably would not keep this one myself, but it does display the red very well.

Great detail in the blacks! That's not so easy to do with this species. I personally like the pose; it shows the the territorial defensive behavior in the males through exposure of their epaulets.

Well that changes everything! Thanks for the explanation, David. I'd definitely keep the image knowing the purpose of the behavior.
