Taken a few days ago (1/23), on the beautiful sunny morning as the big storm was approaching. 1DsII / 500 + 1.4 / ISO 400 / f/8 @ 1/800 / manual metering to set the sand about +1. I shot plenty of this juvenile alone but was looking for some layering with another behind it but not impinging on the edges of the frame.

I love the colours in this photo Phil and the exposure is perfect. It is the composition I am not sure of. I feel the front seal is too centred and the one in the BG would maybe have added more to the imgae if it would have had the same curious look on its face as the front one.

Lovely colours indeed....but what bothers me a bit are is the tilted angle (probably a natural slope). Well seen composition.

You are correct, it is a slope on the beach, you can see the water flowing back down to the surf.

Beautiful colors in this light and a great low angle. The rear seal is just perfectly oof not to be distracting to the eye. Well seen shot!
