A Rio Grande Specialty..

If you have never spent any time with Alan Murphy and you are into the wee birds I urge you to seek him out.

Thanks for looking.

This is super Louis. What a great bird! For me the image wants for nothing save maybe a little more light around the eye. The bush perch adds a lot of interest.

What a beauty, Lou. Perfect dof gave you a nice bg to show off this beauty.

Neat looking bird, and the raised creat is cool. In addition to John's remark I would also look at toning down the perch. Good framing with the leaves!

Beautiful pose with the raised crest, and I really like the framing with the diagonal perch and the leaves at both corners. The background is especially nice. Lovely capture.

Sweet shot Lou. The eye seems just a bit dark. Perch and BG look great.

Lovely pose, bird, perch, colors, and crest. From here, it looks as if the face were lightened a bit too much....

You can over-lighten blacks or darks with a Levels adjustment also. As I am the only one seeing it, I would not mention it. And yes, Alan is the set-up king--his images stand out among others.
