Very cool image. The calling bird really makes a difference. Bg is sweet. I find it a bit soft on my screen. Would apply a bit more sharpness.

Great light and calling pose. I agree regarding sharpening, wish for a better wing position (higher up or down) and would remove the dark spot behind the bird.

Scott I have absolutely nothing on this species so I would be pleased to have this image in my collection. That being said I'll echo the comment about sharpness and the dark spot (dust spot?) behind the bird.

Nice soft light and the calling pose is great. The head position couldn't be better. Good exposure control and framing. Dust bunny and a little extra sharpening mentioned. Nice capture!

Clean your sensor Scott. This is killer. Deep blue sky, open beak, good eye contact and head turn, wings up and the shadow I like. Keep posting.

Good capture here. You did well.

I don't personally think it would take much final sharpening to dial this one in.

In addition to what the other have said I also think you could clip 10 -15 points on the light side of Adjustment Layer Levels.

I like the colours on him, and the whites look well exposed. Great timing to capture the open beak, and I would maybe move him up in the frame a bit. Still, well captured.
