Personal crtique - somewhat busy, head angle on adult off, Distracting BG elements.

As these nests are on the ground and there is lots and lots and lots of them - it is very hard to isolate a subject and get a clean BG.

Lance, Agree w/ self-critique, but these type of images are always a pleasure to see! I don't get to see these for myself. So please keep them coming!!

I don't mind the head angle of the parent but would love to see more room at the top and maybe left.

No, this is very nice image. I think we really love your Gannet series.
In this one I actually like very much the blue sky color, too.

Maybe I would get rid of that little feather tip on the right edge.
Too bad you don't have more of the parent's head
(which would be different composition overall taking away
attention from the chick) but this way is great too.

you captured the baby perfectly. i think if there were a little more up top to include more of the parent, the bg wouldnt be as distracting. still a nice image!! i really like the interaction.

I love the gape on that chick. Wish the head of the parent was more in the frame, but I really like the moment regardless. :)

Lance, nice capture of the moment..feathers on right bother me more than the BG or parent head, which I actually rather like.

Great comments ... would have liked for the bird to tuck his head down a little !!! Neat

I like the look of the parent bird. BG don't bother me on this one Lance. Very sharp. The more I see shots from the sigmonster the more I like it!!!!
