Nice image Desmond - I like the catch light in the eye and the colors are nice. I wonder if you considered blurring the bkgr??
Cheers,

I really like this one -- nice capture. I actually like the BG as it is. Very nice. The only thing I might nit is the white area on the neck -- you may be able to tone it down a bit (although my monitor tends to run a bit bright).

Nice pose with extended wings, iridescence and eye highlight. Looks like a significant crop. BG is nice but I would try and smooth out some of the sharper pale lines running through it (clone stamp in darken mode with a big, low opacity soft brush may be a good starting point)

Wonderful COMP and a great job by everyone above. The group is getting so good that I am often left speechless--and that is not a common occurrence.... Good catch on the blown whites on the neck by Mike. Does your master file show the clipping? (I am betting that the JPEG does...)

All nits noted. Love the pose of the bird and I like the BG as is.
Well done

The raw file show 250/251 as the highest RGB values at some spots. I did tone the white down to 246. I guess it would be better to have it tuned down even more then.
Again, thanks for the comments and suggestions guys !!
