“On Top Of The Mountain”
<O:p</O:p

Henry stopped in the other day to say hello. Henry was painted with a Nikon D200, using a Nikkor 200mm f/4D IF-ED macro lens with a stacked combination of a 20mm and 36mm extension tubes.

Image solution:
focal length @ 200mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / metering mode @ in camera matrix metering / ISO @ 500 / white balance @ cloudy / 1/1250sec. - f/8 / AF-mode @ manual / color space @ sRGB / lighting solution - no speedlight - ambient lighting / exposure comp @ +1.0EV / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degree / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / support platform – monopod, braced against palm tree /

Comments greatly appreciated...

Really nice comp, Gus. The fly is in a good position and razor sharp. I would think about cloning over the bright yellow in this image as well as it is pulling my eye from the fly.

Hey Gus. Very nice image. Great detail on the fly and yet wonderful softness with the leaf. I like it. Maybe instead of cloning out the yellow, you could just desaturate it a bit to back off on the distraction factor.

Nice sarcophagid fly. I agree that the yellow in the lower right region needs to go or be toned down.
