I like this crop. What do you think? First tried the covensional landscape crop but it looked dull and lost the impact of the background.

Yes, I like the crop, not sure about the distractions on the water, though... The bird looks gorgeous!

The crop looks great, and that is one beautiful rail. Very nice feet out landing pose and wing position. The orange reflection on the blue water makes a nice bg.....but I would defiinitely get rid of the dark weed bits, and I think a shadow/highlight adjustment will bring out lots more detail in the dark areas of the underwing and chest. Well captured.

It's nice to break away from "conventional". I don't think this crop would work as well with out the great diagonal reflection that you've captured. I also think getting rid of the reeds at the bottom of this image is a must. Nice work.

Another vote for removing the dark areas !!! Particularly like feel and tones Lovely image !!!

Pretty bird and pose. I would clone out the dark parts.

Amazing capture Isak - looks similar to our Lewin's Rail - which I have never seen photographed like this!
