Okay, had a few different views and head turns on this guy and I recently posted a different one of this same bird. If you remember the other photo, does this one work better? The only thing I was considering doing is adding some canvas up top to balance the comp.

Mike, I prefer this one. I agree with more room at top. I'd crop about half the space between tail and edge, then add the equivalent above. Cool pose with the flared tail!

I like this one too and agree with Daniel on cropping from left and adding to top. What about cropping the bottom just a bit to eliminate the "black hole" in the perch? It'll be tighter at the bottom but every time I look at the photo my eye is drawn to that area.

Cool pose, Mike. This looks good except for tinkering with the crop as suggested above.

One more vote for a different crop. I might be tempted to convert to a vertical crop, with more room at the top, and the bill pointing up towards the URC. Give him some room to look into, and I think it would be effective. If he was looking straight to the right, then the horizontal would perhaps be a better choice.

Good technicals,love the yellow under the tail.

I got lost on that wonderfull yellow tail, I didn't know it was yellow, lovely pose, BG, light, detail and colors, I could've worked also as a vertical IMO. But love it as presented! COngratulaitons!
