Recently came across this juv. Peregrine eating the remains of a Mallard, which it had presumably killed, in an area of fields and marshes, full of wildfowl, near my home.

Nikon D300, Tamron 200-500 , ISO800, 1/2500 at F9.0.

Adding a little room at the top is the only suggestion I have for this wonderful photo.

Always convenient when bumping into these types of opportunities! You can't choose what time of day this happens though, and the harsh light is somewhat evident. I would also crop differently to "de-center" your subject. A good crop from the left and then some off the bottom (not sure you need the extra "row" of grass). Very fortunate to find this, and you made the best you could out of it :-)

This is a great find, Richard and the wing-up pose is a plus. I think getting the bird off dead-center would strengthen the image. Daniel and Lowell have made some good suggestions in that regard.

Great action. Would have been neat to see the Falcon take out the Duck - from a naturalist perspective, not gore. :) Off center, yes, would be far more powerful.
