This is one cool and crazy looking bird. The look into the camera gives the image character. Great details and colors look great. I love the background. There is nothing to dislike in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing

James;
This one brings back memories. As a boy in Iowa, I used to chase the guinea fowl around my great uncles farm. He told me if I could catch one, I could have it! Needless to say, I never caught one, but not for lack of trying.
This very sharp image shows what could be done with that old warhorse, D1X. Sharp, nice colors. Clean background. My only compositional thought would be to crop up just a bit from the bottom to reduce the mass of the lower part of the image, its a bit heavy for my tastes.
Thanks for sharing this one. Lots of memories.

What an odd-looking bird. Is he eating some bacon? :)

A fabulous bird portrait James. What is that background? Just that it looks too clean and even. :)

Super sharp, and I like the clarity in this. I would also take a bit off the bottom, but still very well captured.
