Great work Sid. Has that dropshadow behind the upper wing got to do with your flash settings? Very nice colors mate. :)

Hey Sid,

I could not agree more with you. Looks 3D and you did an excellent job with the flash technique here. Excellent work!

Great flashwork, and very well exposed on the whites. Stands out nicely against the pink sky. Very well captured Sid.

Sid:

Lovely flash work, with nice exposure balance. The head angle is nice, but to my eye the head/eye could use another round of USM.

A beauty.

Is a great pose with great flash technique.<O:p</O:p
Having said that , it looks to me as if the bird has been cut and pasted on to the Sky. <O:p</O:p
I am no expert, so I could well be completely wrong , is just how it looks to me

Really amazing use of Flash, easily one of the best I've seen of this "style" of shot!! The 3-D look is awesome, and the colours are great! Congrats!

To the best of my recollection I do not remember seeing the shadow of a bird created up in the sky by natural light or with the use of a flash.

It is a beautiful bird but the dropshadow behind the upper wing makes it look to me like it is stuffed, flattened out and layed on a board to me which is quite unnatural.
