At Ft Meyers in Jan and caught this....
Nikon D300 500mm lense
f/8 at 1/2500 sec -1/3 comp
iso 800 tripod mounted

Great work in freezing the action and a fish to boot.
:ight angle not optimal but acceptable a little tight at bottom.

I like how you have captured the droplets, especially the ones on the back. I would have maybe included the whole reflection, but still well captured. Not sure if his catch is going to fill him up.

Yes, the high shutter speed froze everything nicely. The light was a bit harsh. I would advise here against trying to include the whole relfection as it is quite distorted. Best to do that only on mirror calm days. I actually like more of a pano crop eliminating the lightest reflections of the fish and the end of the bill.

That is quite the splash for such a tiny prize (of which I like that the correct end is facing us!). I also agree that the pano crop works well, with Artie's comp tweak giving some improvement at the bottom edge.
