This one was taken in the bay off of the JFK causeway in Corpus Christi. He posed for quite a while and then decided to come too close. That is not a problem I often have.
Canon 40D with 500f4 + 1.4X / 1/2500th @ f8 / iso800. Quick masked out a dark band on the top.

Trey:

Handsome bird, excellent exposure, pose and head angle. Sharp, and I like the striding posture.

If you have the material, I would see how it looks with more room on the right, in the direction he is looking. Right now the image is too centered for my taste.

Very nice overall!

Trey,
Beautiful image.
You nailed the exposure and it's nice and sharp. The subject you selected is a beautiful specimen exhibiting an interesting behavior. The low perspective allows the viewer to make a personal connection with your subject.
My only suggestion would be to have a little room at the bottom. IMO that would put this image over the top.

This is really sharp, showing excellent feather detail Trey. Very well timed to capture the outspread wings, and I like the low angle in this. Congrats, I like this lots.

Thank you for your comments. This about 95% full frame so I may have to add some to the bottom James.
