This Pink Cockatoo, commonly known as the Major Mitchell cockatoo, was nesting in a tree hollow some 25 feet above ground level in the arid west of New South Wales.

Canon EOS 3, Canon 100-300 F5.6L at 300mm, 1/125 sec F11, Fuji 100RDP, Natural light with fill flash, hide atop 25 ft tower, Tripod.

Pretty bird, details, setting and BG. If you had moved a bit to the right there would be no OOF branch in the upper right. If you clone, you could remove it since it is a bit distracting.

Repost with 'ofending' branch cloned out as suggested by Axel.

This is much better. I forgot to mention that a bit more room at the top would be nice, but not too much, maybe 1cm or so. While I'm at it, maybe a bit NR on the BG. I really like this.

A beautiful bird John, and a very nice image, I prefer to version with the branch removed.

A lovely shot John but I wonder if it shouldn't be a tad darker?

Such a beautiful cockatoo and the ps work paid off in the repost. This image made putting up the 25 ft tower and waiting in the hide worth it!
