These young elephant calfs belong to two different family groups, but they know each other. The rubbing of trunks is a typical greeting between elephants. Sometimes they even place their trunks into each others mouths. The two family groups came together on their way to a watering hole. The image was created in Samburu, Kenya, known for its red soil, therefore the reddish tinges to these youngster's hides. I know the light is a bit harsh, but the moment needed to be recorded.
