From Sunday at Anhinga Trail ENP Slow afternoon but some fishing activity. This young female anhinga was having luck catching fish. They normally come out of the water after catching med/large fish for positioning before swallowing and we don't get many favorable angles.

Comments welcome and much appreciated

Very cool, I like the light, details, BG and the fish puts it over the top for me.

I like this a lot, Alfred. The pose, comp, sharpness, background, the impaled fish, the eye of the anhinga - it's all good!

Fabulous action capture Al! I wish for a more favorable head turn in the fish though mate. :) (kidding) It looks like there is a little shadow there?

Great moment well captured. Great exposure detail and comp. Some nit picking I would like him to face just a bit more this way. Well done on this

Love it as presented. Nice details on bird and fish.

I think the most outstanding part of this image is the eye of the Anhinga. It is clear and sharp. The second thing is the smile of the mouth, it gives it some emotion in the face. And the beak is open, of course, to accommodate the fish he is about to enjoy! A fine catch indeed mate!

I would suggest the fish is a bit over sharpened however. The far left profile is a bit weird looking, to me.

Love her chopsticks through the prey. Despite that, the fish seems still trying to pose for you !:D
Wonderful capture and catch !!!
