Ring-billed gull on a snowy day

I captured this image on a snowy day last winter at Lake Sammamish State Park, in Issaquah WA.

Canon 30D, EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS
1/500 sec, f/8, ISO 400, Aperature Priority, evaluative metering.

This is a full height vertical crop out of a horizontal image.

Very nice but the bird needs to be sharpened quite a bit. Good exposure. Love the snow and the COMP.

I haven't seen many images of gulls in heavy snowfall, and I really like this. The exposure is spot on, and the treeline adds a lot of interest. Lovely!

Here's a sharpened version. It wasn't the sharpest image to begin with, so there's probably only so much I can do. I did use a layer mask to protect the background from sharpening. Could it use some more?
