From this afternoon at ENP This kite has been returning to roost every afternoon and with some patience a good target. Bird returns twenty minutes before sundown and all you need is a decent wind direction for a good pass.

Comments welcome and much appreciated

It's a beauty Al! Love the wing position, details, and amount of light you got on the underside. My turn to say "you could lighten and sharpen the eye a bit". :D

Alfred, Nice! I missed these guys when I was in Florida-didn't see one. One of my favorite birds-well done!

I like it a lot! It is interesting to note, at least for myself, that
you used flash on this one. I would never have thought that you can use
flash on flying birds. Flash is completely unexplored teritory for me, yet.

Cheers, Ilija

Hi Ilija Besides lighting up the bird, flash will help you make a sharper images. The one thing to keep in mind is shutter speed ... once you go into high speed sync light output drops dramatically. One of the reason I don't go much past 500 !!

HI AL

Fabulous image. Almost perfect head angle mate. :) Thanks for the flash info Sir, I will try keeping to that and see how it makes a difference.
