It was a beautiful thing having a Snowy so close to me! It was -22c and a good breeze blowing while making this image.

Jody, the details here are incredible. I've never seen the talons of an owl this close right as they about to close on prey. I think it would have been excellent to have a bit more at the bottom of the frame to complete the last talons, but I know I'm being picky on an extreme closeup extreme action photograph! Great work. Some day I'll see this species. :)

I'm going to start having nightmares about owls soon. This is a really powerful image, but I'd prefer to see all the talons if you have them.

Is that flying snow in front of the chest? I'd be tempted to spot it out for an image this size. Printed large it might look really good though.

Hi Jody! I have always admired your images, and this one does not disappoint. Nive and sharp with the image having a very powerful feeling.
