Shot this last summer in Wayne County, PA. Some folks call them Day Lily.

Beautiful image, Ken. The composition is really superb - Nice, tight image with good clarity and detail. I think if you had taken one more step to the left you might have included a bit more of the green buds and that little piece of the petal on the left side that is missing - it might have made the comp even stronger.
Still...I love it. Great colors and really nicely executed.
Looks like a tiger lily to me...they grow wild in my part of the woods.

I think it is a daylily--the orange kind that has become naturalized in New England.
I like the transluscence of the flower petals which allows us to see more details. Beautiful colors. Nice composition.
I hope in future posts you will be able to eliminate the watermark.
