“Busy Bee”

This little lady was painted with a Nikon D2x, using a Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 macro lens with a Nikkor 20mm extension tube.

focal length @ 105mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / in camera matrix metering / 1/250sec. - f/22 / exposure comp @ -1.7EV / ISO @ 320 / white balance @ cloudy / AF - Mode @ manual / color space @ sRGB / lighting solution - Nikon R1C1 wireless close up speedlight system; both light units set to minimum fill flash with a wide dispersal pattern and attached diffuser. / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +1 degree / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / support platform - tripod assist, and manual trigger release cable /

Beautiful Gus, The black BG really sets this off!Really nice details and HA on the bee! Well done!

Beautiful lighting, Gus. Nice, clear details. I think I'd either darken the entire stem or take it out at the halfway point.

I love the "feel" of the flowers color. Almost like velvet.

Gorgeous!! I love the formal feel with the black BG and centered composition. Beautiful lighting. Sharp. The partially lit stem doesn't bother me.

I looked up the flash system you are using. Impressive looking.

Hi Gus,
I might lighten the darker portion of the stem some.....but the rest is gorgeous! I'm not normally a fan of black BG's....but this one works for me.
