One of my favorite birds, I am captivated by their plucky dispositions and curiosity. The males are larger (and bolder) than the females. This was taken in Imperial Valley, CA.

Great angle, details, light and BG. Maybe a bit more room top and left? There is a little dust spot in the upper right.

Agree with above. From a composition standpoint, with these guys, I tend to like seeing both eyes, or having the head turned more away. Just my personal preference.

It is a good angle. I live in Cape Coral where we have these all the time, and they are hard to get shots where the bird is separated from their background, you did a very nice job of that with the angle. It's a great smooth background that complements the colors. I have to agree about both eyes, having only one is distracting.
