Hi Bill, I like the overall mood to this, and I like the colours in the water. The image does need some CW rotation to level it. I would also crop a bit from bottom to eliminate the blueish band skimming the edge. I'm also wishing the OOF vegetation on each LCs not be there. Good hunting pose, with the bird seemingly poised on potential prey :-)

P.S. This looks to be a Little Blue Heron

Reddish - black legs, black tip with pink base of bill, russet colored neck.

Definately a Blue Heron as noted. I've seen professional orinthologish come here to the Bahamas and confuse the 2--some look even closer to Reddish Egrets.
I get a lot of bubbles in the water here also and crop/clone a lot out as it's not that attractive, even though it's natural--which I like natural settings.
Also slightly OOF.

p.s. I see you're retired. I retired a year ago and photograph a lot of birds, but don't as many here as you do in Florida. I've been to most all the bird locations in Florida, but not living there just get average images at best.
