I am pretty sure this is a great egret. Yellow bill, black feet.

Light is harsh, from over your left shoulder. Nice head angle, I like the dangling toe. Exposure looks good.

I might crop just a bit off the top and would prefer a bit more space to the left to look into.

Cool pose and details. The light looks a bit harsh. I might decrease the saturation a bit and there is a spot on the right side of the shoulder.

Hi Stuart,

I have to disagree about the harsh light. The light is great however, you are photographing from the wrong angle creating deep shadows. I do agree with more room to the left.

I like the pose and details. Light doesn't bother me as the important areas are well lit and the shadow on the body shows off the curve of the neck well and I like the shadow of the bill on the wing - having the underparts shaded is natural. More space on the left would be much better and blurred spot already noted.
