The perch is a dry river cane and BG is a green bush.
Thank you for your critiques.

Haim:

I would say this fish is having a very bad day.

Lovely bird, dynamic moment captured, great head angle on the fish, good on the bird. Exposure looks good.

The colors seem a bit over saturated, but I don't know this species well enough to be sure.

The head looks just a bit soft c/w the back, and perhaps the contrast could be backed down a fraction.

Thanks for sharing.

This is very nice. Lovely details and composition. Fish is a nice plus!

Lovely. The fish is a huge plus. I think a bit lower saturation would be better. The bg is amazingly clean and green. I like the composition as well. Thanks for sharing.

Well caught with the fish impaled on the bill. Agree with maybe reducing the saturation a little and I would probably try a slightly lower contrast version. BG is lovely but showing some posterisation/JPG artifact as presented.

Great that the fish is stuck on the beak like this Haim, I like your comp and the bg color, I think some noise reduction on the bg would improve this.

Love the BKGR and the stab job on the fish. Has the top of the perch been cut off???
