Hi everyone, here's an image from a few years back taken at Sani Lodge in the Ecuadorian part of the Amazon. This nunbird was taking some large insects from the ground behind the lodge and posed nicely for me. Cropped for comp.

I like the pose you got here. The open bill, and opening wings add some dynamics to the image. An additional round of sharpening would help, especially in the face area.

Great detail and comp. Maybe just a bit more off the top. Just my taste. Exposure is spot on.

Exposure control, eye contact and open bill look great. I might be tempted to remove the pieces of hanging bark. I don't think I've seen this species before, thanks for sharing!

Hi Nate,
You brought out the details in the blacks nicely. I like the open bill action.....and while I am a fan of the crop.....as presented works nicely too. I'd leave the hanging bark as for me....it just adds another dimension.
