I am a ¨Lapwings Fan¨ I love these birds, and I would like to be able to travel the world just photographung them. Love this species, love the shot, great walking pose, lovely light, stunning BG and good good detail. COngratulations!

I love them too. Very nice image with such a cool bg.
I think a bit of more sharpening would improve it.

Very nice. The pose looks good, and I like the smooth sand (although I would patch or clone out the OOF debris behind the bird).

Works well on a lot of levels as mentioned - head position, DOF good to get him in focus, foot up, soft OOF BG, low angle and pleasing light.

Beautiful shot Leo. I love the bird and the pleasing two tone bg. I would clone the oof debris as well as the dark spots near the top left.

Well done, Leo. I like the striding pose and head angle. I agree with Dan's suggestion to remove the OOF debris behind the bird.

Super composition--great low angle and really cool bird-- I would be tempted to do just a bit more selective sharpening and remove the darker spots in the blue. I am OK with the spots in the sand.
