I originally ID this birds as snowy plovers, but somebody corrected me, I was told this are Piping plovers...

Easiest way to tell them apart is leg colour. Yellow= Piping, dark gray= Snowy. The Piping also has a stubier bill than the Snowy. These look like they are non-breeding adult plumage.

Agree with Daniel. These are piping plovers for sure.

The other feature is the relatively small head and eye of the Piping Plover. The Snowy looks very "big-headed" and "big-eyed" in comparison.
