Last spring I made my migration to Magee Marsh for the warbler migration. Unfortunately the warblers were not cooperative. However, there was a nice display of captive birds from a rehab center and I spent the afternoon working around visitors, BG and light to get a few nice images.
Canon 1DMkIIN, 70-200mmL f/2.8 IS, handheld
ISO 400, f/8, ss 1/1250
Capture One RAW conversion, slight crop all around, USM, levels, etc.

Striking image. The cropping and composition is flawless. Everything leads me to the falcon's eye. Thanks for sharing this.

I too have spent time with a captive Peregrine. And you really made out on this one. No blown highlights, hard to do with the sun on its back. Good eye and sharp beak. Nice wing detail and good wing spread.
