Won't have too many more wintery mornings here in Oklahoma :D -- took this one recently in the woods behind my house. I played around with cropping a bit to avoid having the leaf centered, but the original is still my favorite.

ISO 200
Taken on tripod

C and C welcome...

Hey Mike, I like small intimate scenes like this. I like the comp and its always a question as to center or not to center, but I think it works fine here. I like the lighting and the rich earthtone color. Frost always adds a nice touch.

I think it works centered in this case because the leaf is big enough in the scene to draw your eye down to the point so you still get the viewer to move about the image.

Very nice lighting and detail - the entire image is sharp, even in the corners. Nicely done!

I agree also about the centering ...it seems to work here. The lighting is soft and the colors are warm. The slight frost on the leaf and surrounding material adds alot to the image...

Lovely array of textures and soft colors. Centered works for me here because of the irregula shape of the subject, placing two diagonals in the frame.

There's a lot going on here but it tells a wonderful story. Excellent eye and composition. I really like this one, Mike.
