Anna's Hummingbird on Aloa Vera

Hi Folks:

Enjoyed a beautiful sunny warm day in the garden and caught this Anna's feeding on the Aloe Vera Blossoms.
Had a good variety of birds and we took quite a few photos.

Thanks, Gus: The detail held up well in the crop with minimal noise. I can't wait to move up to a crop factor (in 4/3rds) of 2 from the 4.73 I have in my FZ-50. My rubythroat pics will get cleaner. Thanks for sharing with me.

Your FZ50 is a great camera, and to view hundred's of good bird photos taken by it in Australia with EXIF, look at Rose Fletcher's here; http://www.birdforum.net/gallery/member.php?uid=43699&protype=1
Gina, my wife does a lot of hiking in the mountains around Green Valley, and had a FZ50, however, she now has a FZ28 which is lighter, 10MP & 18X optical which she now likes to take on her hikes.

There are a lot of 4/5th cameras on the market now that do a good job, though IMHO, the new Olympus E30 is a very nice camera, but to compete in the same price range as the Canon 50D is no contest, and more money than the 40D doesn't make sense even factoring in that you might have Olympus, lens, TC & Flash already. If they got it down to $700 I would give it a go. Same thing goes for their old E3 which is one tough fast camera. E-510 & E-520 are very good buys at todays prices. Especially the E-510 which a lot of folks think is sharper than the E-520
