I like the perspective and how you included the river, like the framing a lot Lots of character and one fine image. Hope you are zeroing in on little details also !!!

Hi Axel, That's a great big yes. One of my cousins is a professor at the University of Würzburg, so we got the super tour. That definitely included wine. - John

Still, the novice questions.....why did you use iso 800 and f10 as opposed to a high number f stop and lower iso since is seems to be a bright, sunny day? (trying to get all this straight in my head, thanks for helping me understand more)

Hi Hazel, The day was heavily overcast and gray. The perceived brightness is from post processing. I used f/10 because i wanted to carry as much depth of field as possible. We are all here to learn, any question asked will be answered, if not by the one asked, then by others, more expert. Hope that was of help. - John

Thanks. I guess in my mind right now f10 seems low for a depth of field, as compared to perhaps f16 or so. I submitted a photo of a red rock formation in Utah recently and was advised to use an f16 or higher to get the depth of field rather than the lower f5.6 it was on. (must admit I'd taken it on a rush and had forgotten to check that f stop---still working on developing good habits).
