Found this little guy a while ago --- down on the farm (Sewerage Treatment Plant)

Lance, lovely capture and pose! The BG is beautiful-nice low angle,and after laying in duck muck myself I can appreciate this even more!

Agree with D, the low angle and sharpness makes it for me too.
What an awesome camera the D3 is Lance, enjoying every minute.

Mr. Peters...another winner in my book...I like the extra low capture angle...the details are sharp, with a good head angle and sharp eye contact...the multi colored background compliments your subject very well...congrats...:cool:

Agree and love that bg !!! Delicate and beautiful ... nothing like duck mucking !!!!! :) ... at least the image was clean !!!! :D

The location is one of the premier birding spots in australia - 10,000HA of sewrage farm - close to 300 species being recorded here as well as some rare visitors - last month a Hudsonian Godwit.
It is greta for bird watching - bird photography is a little more challenging :)
