Canon EOS-1D Mark II N, Shooting Date/Time 2/17/2009 07:01:21, Shutter Speed 1/3200Sec. Av(Aperture Value) F6.3, Evaluative metering, Exposure Compensation -1, ISO 400, Lens: EF300mm f/2.8L IS USM. Hand held while kneeling down in the grass.

From Fort De Soto at the far end of the pavilions at North Beach parking lot. This guy was warming up and I thought it would look nice contrast wise. I was about 20 feet away at the time. It was 1 of 2 quite cooperative egrets.

Grady, Really nice looking Egret- I like the BG colors and the exposure looks good- crop looks a bit tight to me.

Very nice bird, with good exposure. I like your choice of aperture, good DOF for bird, background blurred. Of course your kneeling helped both on presentation of egret and throwing background out of focus.

Isn't it nice when you get a cooperative one so you can do a little tweaking as you go!

Love the sharpness and the nice light. I'd add some canvas up top and consider remove the vegetation overlapping the bird.
