An unusual looking bracket fungus found in a rainforest habitat. I almost expected to see a couple of Mexicans on the other side of these sombreros!!!

Canon EOS 3, Canon 100mm macro, Velvia 50, flash units x2 in dim lighting, 1/125 sec F22 Tripod.

Sombreros or clams? You have captured just the right angle and background here . . . nice lighting too.

That's really cool. I like the patterns in the fungus. The green moss in the background really sets it off.

Hey John, not positive on the name, but I've heard them referred to as turkey tail fungi. These are some of the nicest looking ones I've seen. Usually their in clumps and hard to isolate a couple like this. Love the BG as it contrast really well with the earthone subjects.
