Estero Lagoon, Ft. Myers.

A coastal fog rolled in and provided many beautiful opportunities for those who opened their eyes. While James had visions of the lone tree I had this image of him in mind. I experimented having James completely silhouetted but preferred a little bit of detail like this.

Canon 40D + 18-55 kit lens (this lens is often way under-rated), aperture priority, evaluative metering, 1/25s., f/7.1, ISO 800, +0.7 EC, handheld.

Judy is right...this is awesome! Are the pink tones natural or did you add / enhance them in pp? It's a great moodsetter!

Hi Julie, thanks! The colours were close to what you see here, with a 8-10 point sat boost in PS. It was close to sunset (6:30-ish). Further right they were even deeper purple, but the bright part above was not present there. This is the angle and colour I like best.

I was standing next to you when you shot this but I didn't see the potential you saw. Very nice!

Got me!
Dan, super image.
I mean in addition to the awesome subject, the composition and color make this a real wall hanger.

Hint, hint.

What awesome subject? That fog came in like a train. Love the simplicity. My memory is that the fog was white. Yikes! The tiny stick stuck in the sand to the right of the skeleton tree bugs me. Again, it was great having you along.
