This image seems to be heavily photoshoped.You can see part of the cloned out branch center/right top of the image.

I like the soft light, pose and BG. The bird looks a bit soft and I would have left the perch intact and put the bird a bit higher in the frame. I agree regarding the cloning artifacts.

Ardsel, I will be honestly tough and say this does not work for me because of the obvious PP done. The subject and perch have the classic "cookie-cutter" look, looks like noise reduction was used quite too aggressively, and there are cloning artifacts still apparent. Too bad, because the bird has a great pose, a seemingly good perch, perfect exposure and is sharp. If you are able to attract these guys to a feeder you could place a perch in front of a clear BG close to it and wait in a hide to capture the perfect image in-camera without the hassle of heavy manipulation in PS. Keep them coming!
