Talk about good for up here! I get within 1000 yards and these guys fly. I've seen only a handful here in the 20 years. Excellent all the way around Bob. I love the look back and the elegant appearance.

I like the angle, look-back pose and raised tail and might crop a bit off the bottom.

Love the pose, Bob. Very sharp with good exposure control. My only small nit is the white area at the top of the frame that draws my eye. This would be an easy fix using quick masks. Well done.

What a beautiful image of this long tail. Exposure looks perfect. I would eliminate most of the reflection as to me it takes away from the subject rather than enhance it, and also eliminate the white stripe at the top, just to tidy things up and keep attention right on the duck. Love the eye and the slightly open bill. Well done, Bob!

I've never been able to get nearly close enough for a decent photo of these elusive ducks. I'm guessing he wasn't this close for long.
