Lance, love the colors and the texture. That D3 is awesome at 800... Very sharp and clean with that low SS. The minor visual annoyances are offset by the gorgeous colors and gradient look.

I think I agree with Mr. Forns about the transition, but I really like the contrasting contrasts ... high contrast areas sharp and low contrast areas subdued. It locks my eyes into the face quite nicely.
